15th AMPOGS State conference was held on 27th & 28th April 2024 at Hotel Shawn Elizey, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Shweta Kaul Jha, Dr Sonal Sahni, Dr Rekha Wadhwani, and Dr Sonal Richhariya were panel moderators. Dr Shruti Malvi, Dr Chitra Jain, Dr Richa Paharia, Dr Padma Shukla, Dr Sangeeta Shrivastava, Dr Nidhi Jain, Dr Manik Pansey, Dr Alka Agrawal, Dr Jagrati Kiran Nagar, and Dr Uma Nigam participated as panelists.
AMPOGS Prof Dr Kumud Bhagwat Oration was delivered by FOGSI President Dr Jaydeep Tank on “Modern obstetrics and how we got there.” AMPOGS oration was renamed in memory of late Prof Emeritus Dr Kumud Bhagwat in our tenure.
First AMPOGS Prof Dr Kavita N Singh YUVA oration was delivered by Dr Poorva Badkur.
Keynote address was delivered by FOGSI Secretary General Dr Madhuri Patel and Past President AMPOGS Dr Madhuri Chandra.
Dr Varuna Pathak and Dr Deepika Dewani were quiz masters for state level intercollegiate postgraduate quiz. 10 teams participated in preliminary screening including MGM Indore, Index Indore, NSCB Jabalpur, SSMC Rewa, BMC Sagar, GRMC Gwalior, GMC Bhopal, LNMC Bhopal, Chirayu Bhopal, and People’s Bhopal.
1st prize was won by Team Index Indore, 2nd by NSCB Jabalpur, and 3rd by BMC Sagar.
Dr Vineeta Ghanghoriya and Dr Nandita Bhartiya were Paper/Poster in charge. Total of 116 papers/posters were presented and 21 prizes given.
Gala Dinner “RANG” was held on 27th April evening which saw beautiful performances by host society, Ganesh Vandana, songs, VIBGYOR, skit on save the uterus followed by ramp walk showcasing handlooms of India.
AMPOGS Lifetime Achievement award was given to Ex Prof & Dean Dr Rooplekha Chauhan and Past President AMPOGS Dr Madhuri Chandra. All state member societies were also felicitated for their work for women’s health.
Installation ceremony of new AMPOGS executive team was also held on 27th April where President Dr Kavita N Singh, Secretary Dr Deepti Gupta, and the entire team got officially installed and took charge for two years term.
The conference was awarded 3 NMC credit points and 10 ICOG Credit points.
Total 308 registrations were done including 100 faculty and 208 delegates.

AMPOGS 2025 was successfully organized on 28th and 29th March 2025 at Hotel Vijay Villas, Rewa, under the dynamic leadership of President Dr. Kavita N. Singh and Secretary Dr. Deepti Gupta.
The conference was conducted with great enthusiasm, meticulous planning, and excellent execution.
The Organizing Chairperson was Dr. Padma Shukla, with Dr. Rekha Singhal serving as Organizing Secretary and Dr. Swaroop Sagar as Treasurer.
Dr. Mohita, Dr. Pratibha Mishra, and every member of the Rewa Society participated enthusiastically in making the event a grand success.
The conference witnessed outstanding academic participation and received overwhelming appreciation from delegates and faculty members from across India.
A pre-conference workshop on Critical Care was conducted on 27th March 2025 at Medical College, Rewa, under the guidance of Dr. Beenu Singh Kushwah and team.
A post-conference workshop on Laparoscopy was also organized on 30th March 2025 at Hotel Vijay Villas.
Both workshops were attended by a large number of participants who highly appreciated the academic effort and organization.
The conference received a total of 21 credit points, including 15 RCOG credit points with MPPAC accreditation and 3 credit points each for the pre- and post-conference workshops.
The total registration was approximately 350 delegates and faculty members, with a minimum registration fee of ₹3000.
Delegates and renowned speakers attended from various cities and towns of Madhya Pradesh as well as from different states including Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Gujarat, and others.

The lecture halls remained full throughout both days, reflecting the keen academic interest and active participation of delegates.
A grand banquet was organized on the evening of the first day. Vibrant cultural performances by various MP societies based on the theme “Indian Festivals” added color and joy to the conference.
A special attraction of the evening was the ramp walk by delegates and senior faculty members, which made the event delightful and memorable.
Special attention was given to hospitality and delegate experience.
All faculty members and delegates were provided with high-quality conference kit bags, certificates, and elegant mementos for speakers, panelists, and chairpersons.
During the conference, the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Dr. Meena Bhargava for her remarkable contribution to the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The inauguration ceremony of the conference was graced by the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla Ji and the Dean of SSMC Rewa.
At the conclusion of the conference, excellent feedback and appreciation were received from faculty members and delegates regarding the academic quality, organization, hospitality, and overall management of AMPOGS 2025.
The success of AMPOGS 2025 was the result of teamwork, dedication, and wholehearted support from all organizing committee members, faculty, society members, sponsors, media personnel, and volunteers.

AMPOGS STATE CME IN ASSOCIATION WITH JOGS
TOPIC: PCOS
DATE: 13TH SEPTEMBER 2025
VENUE: HOTEL SATYA ASHOKA
The Association of Madhya Pradesh Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (AMPOGS), in collaboration with the Jabalpur Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (JOGS), successfully organized a State CME on PCOS on 13th September 2025 at Hotel Satya Ashoka, Jabalpur. The academic event focused on contemporary concepts and practical management strategies in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), attracting enthusiastic participation from gynecologists, academicians, and postgraduate students.
The CME was conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh, Dean, GMC Bhopal and President AMPOGS; Dr. Parikshit Tank, Deputy Secretary General, FOGSI; Dr. Deepti Gupta, Secretary AMPOGS; Dr. Rakhi Bajpai, President JOGS; and Dr. Komal Jain, Secretary JOGS.
Session I
The first scientific session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Beenu Kushwah, Dr. Amita Saxena, and Dr. Pradnya Harshey. The program commenced with a welcome song presented by Dr. Manik Pansey, followed by the formal inauguration ceremony.
The academic deliberations began with an enlightening talk on “Adolescent PCOS” delivered by Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh, highlighting the growing burden of PCOS among adolescents and the importance of early diagnosis and holistic management.
This was followed by an expert lecture on “Poor Responders” by Dr. Parikshit Tank, who discussed current evidence-based approaches and fertility perspectives in women with poor ovarian response.
Session II
The second session was chaired by Dr. Pragya Dhirawani, Dr. Deepmala Totade, and Prof. Dr. Archana Singh. A bulletin release formed part of this session.
A highly interactive Panel Discussion on PCOS was the highlight of the CME. The panel included Dr. Deepti Gupta, Dr. Kaveri Shaw, Dr. Falaq Raza, Dr. Astha Sharma, Dr. Nimisha Sharma, and Dr. Ankita Pandey. The session was moderated by Dr. Parikshit Tank and Dr. Rakhi Bajpai.
The panel addressed practical challenges in diagnosis, lifestyle management, infertility, metabolic complications, and longterm follow-up in PCOS patients, generating active audience participation.
The scientific program further included a talk on “Newer Molecules in HMB” delivered by Dr. Sonal Sahni, who discussed emerging therapeutic options for heavy menstrual bleeding and their clinical applications.
The CME concluded with the AMPOGS General Body Meeting, followed by a formal vote of thanks. The program ended with high tea and networking interactions among delegates and faculty members.
AMPOGS STATE CME IN ASSOCIATION WITH JOGS
The AMPOGS State CME, organized in association with the Jabalpur Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society (JOGS), was successfully conducted on 8th February 2026 at Hotel Gulzar Tower, Jabalpur, under the theme “Mastering Challenges in OBGY – Practical Updates.”
It was a huge success attended by over 100 participants and awarded 4 ICOG credit points. The academic sessions were thoughtfully curated and covered a wide spectrum of topics relevant to day-to-day clinical practice.
The scientific program brought together eminent academicians and practicing obstetricians & gynecologists from across the state to deliberate on contemporary and practical issues in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The CME was graced by distinguished guests including Prof. Dr. Shashi Khare as Chief Guest, with Prof. Dr. Rooplekha Chauhan and Prof. Dr. Arvind Lele as Guests of Honour.
Session I
Session I focused on infections in OBGY and included talks on genital tuberculosis by Dr Deepti Gupta, stepwise approach to vulvovaginitis by Dr Rakhi Bajpai, and gynecological concerns in PLHA by Dr Archana Singh.
Dr Dipankar Banerjee, Dr Shilpa Somashekhar, and Dr Vineeta Ghanghoriya graced the session as chairpersons.
Session II – “Seeing the Unseen”
Session II addressed placental pathologies by Dr Vrunda Joshi, implementation of AETCOM in OBGY education by Prof Dr Kavita N Singh, and fetal neuroprotection in modern obstetrics by Dr Pratik Tambe.
The deliberations emphasized evidence-based practice and newer perspectives in maternal-fetal medicine. Eminent seniors Dr Alka Agrawal, Dr Uma Nigam, and Dr Neena Shrivastava gave valuable inputs as chairpersons.
Interactive Panel Discussion – Contraception Concerns
A special segment on contraception concerns featured an interactive panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Girija Wagh, with active participation from expert panelists Dr Sonal Sahni, Dr Sonal Richharia, Dr Nidhi Jain, Dr Mansi Yadav, Dr Jigyasa Dengra, and Dr Komal Jain.
This was a very practical panel with real-life case scenarios discussing practical contraceptive dilemmas and solutions. Dr Pradnya Harshe, Dr Neeta Parashar, and Dr Bharti Sahu chaired the session.
Final Scientific Session – “Frontiers in Gynecology”
The final scientific session included updates on transgender care by Dr Rekha Wadhwani, abnormal uterine bleeding by Prof Dr Girija Wagh, and management of resistant PCOS by Dr Pratik Tambe, reflecting the evolving scope of gynecological practice.
Dr Chitra Jain, Dr Manik Panse, Dr Sangeeta Shrivastav, and Dr Rekha Singhal contributed as chairpersons.
This was followed by a short interactive quiz conducted by Dr Jyoti Sharma.
The CME witnessed enthusiastic participation from delegates and faculty members, fostering academic exchange and collaborative learning. Interactive question-answer sessions and panel discussions added immense value to the program.
The event concluded with a quiz session followed by lunch and informal networking.
